“Autism in School, Learning About Autism.” The City of Potenza, as the lead municipality, coordinates the initiatives funded by the Fund for the Social Inclusion of People with Disabilities in collaboration with the relevant Local Social Services. The Training Component, implemented by Sintesi S.r.l., promotes actions aimed at supporting the educational activities of individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
In accordance with the project proposal approved by DGC No. 304/2024, the aim is to enhance the skills of teachers, professionals and caregivers regarding innovative methodologies for educational inclusion, and to foster the creation of a collaborative network among schools, families and social-educational professionals. The specific objectives are:
- to promote understanding of the characteristics of autism spectrum disorders and related intervention strategies;
- to encourage the application of effective educational methodologies;
- to provide teaching tools and materials for further study.
Audience
Teaching staff, social and community workers, family caregivers, and professionals and specialists working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
Duration
The program began with a kick-off meeting on 11 March 2025 (3:30 p.m., Centro Sociale Malvaccaro, Potenza) and continued through June 2025, with a schedule featuring up to 26 livestreamed sessions. Certificates of attendance were awarded during the closing event.
